Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and GI Endoscopy

Introduction

Pakistan society of gastroenterology and G.I Endoscopy was founded in 1983. It has 5 chapters named as Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK and Federal chapter with a central office in Karachi, Pakistan.

Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology & G.I Endoscopy Aims to

1. To provide a common forum for gastroenterologist, both medical and surgical, in Pakistan, to exchange views, to encourage good will and cooperation amongst them.
2. To maintain, develop and extend relations with national and international organization having similar objective
3. To stimulate interest in the study and advancement of gastroenterology and G.I endoscopy and its allied specialties in all possible ways including education and research.
4. To organize regular seminars, conferences and meetings for promoting exchanges of views.
5. To publish scientific literature for distribution amongst the members.
6. To promote high ethical standards and safeguard genuine professional interests of its members.
7. Managing Committee to whom the work of the Management has been entrusted.

Annual Meetings

1. PSG holds regular annual meeting on rotatory basis by all chapters.
2. Up till now total 38 meetings have been held and 39th meeting is being planned in Lahore, Pakistan on 22nd to 26th February 2023.

Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology & G.I Endoscopy has developed the following guidelines
