Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopy (CSDE) was established in 1991, and has become one of the most authoritative academic organization in the field of endoscopy in china over the past three decades. To date, multiple innovative techniques and academic theories have been developed in china under the leadership of 1st -8th committee of CSDE.

For instance, digestive endoscopic tunnel technique, including ESTD, POEM and STER, has been widely carried out in China. Moreover, in 2016, Professor Linghu, the present president of CSDE, proposed the concept of super minimally invasive surgery (SMIS), namely curing the disease without damaging the structure of human body or organ resection . This concept has developed rapidly in China since then, and SMIS committee of World Endoscopic Organization (WEO) was established in 2021.

Activities

CSDE held many international and domestic conferences annually, including Chinese Conference of Digestive Endoscopy (CCDE), aiming to provide a platform for academic communication in China and around the world. Moreover, CSDE attended the Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW), held by A-PSDE, positively in past several years to promote the endoscopic development in Asian-Pacific region.
