The Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology (VNAGE) has been officially established since April 22, 1994 by a decision of Vietnam Government and signed by Vietnam Prime Minister. VNAGE is the national association that involves all activities in the field of Gastro-Entero-Hepatology and Gastrointestinal endoscopy in a country with more than 86 millions people. VNAGE has five local branches including VNAGE in Hanoi (in the North of Vietnam), in Ho Chi Minh City (in the South of Vietnam) and in Thua Thien- Hue, Quang Nam-Da Nang and Khanh Hoa (in the Middle of Vietnam).
- The last annual scientific meeting of the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology (VNAGE) has been organized in Hanoi on November, 21 – 23, 2019. During this event, a new steering committee of VNAGE for the term 2019 – 2024 has been elected.
- Professor Bang Hong MAI, the president of 108 Central Military Hospital in Hanoi, has been elected as the president of VNAGE for the term 2019 – 2024.
- Assoc Professor Khien Van VU continues to serve as the Secretary General of VNAGE and Dr. Dung DQ HO continues to serve as president of the Vietnam Federation of Digestive Endoscopy (VFDE), which is a chapter under VNAGE.
- The next annual scientific VNAGE meeting will be held in Hanoi on November 6-7, 2020. The annual scientific meeting of VFDE this year has been canceled due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The next VFDE meeting will be held on April 9-10, 2021 in Hue City, Vietnam.
